Description
The EVH Wolfgang USA Edward Van Halen Signature Ebony in Stealth Black is the flagship expression of the Wolfgang platform, built to Eddie's exact specifications for stage and studio. If you're looking for a USA-built instrument that delivers precision, stability, and that unmistakable EVH response, this is it. The Stealth Black finish keeps it understated, but everything about the build is premium and performance focused.
The contoured basswood body with a maple top provides balanced resonance with added snap and clarity. A bolt-on quartersawn maple neck with a graphite-reinforced scarf joint adds strength and long-term stability, while the Wolfgang profile feels substantial yet fast. The ebony fingerboard features a 12" to 16" compound radius and 22 jumbo frets, making chords comfortable and bends smooth and controlled. The custom-wound EVH Wolfgang bridge humbucker and matching neck pickup are wired to a single master volume with a high-end sweetening capacitor, giving you articulate top end without harshness. The EVH branded Floyd Rose tremolo with D-Tuna and Floyd Rose R2 locking nut provide dependable tuning stability, and the Gotoh tuners round out the hardware with proven reliability.
This is a professional instrument through and through. The satin urethane neck finish keeps your hand moving, and the hardware is built for real-world touring use. We like this model because it captures the feel and tonal balance Eddie relied on, while offering modern precision and consistency you can count on night after night.
