Description

The Fender American Professional Precision Bass Rosewood in Olympic White marks a fresh chapter in Fender's modern professional lineup. You've seen the original American Professional, the American Professional II, and the American Professional Classic. This refreshed American Professional Series receives subtle but meaningful changes to both feel and hardware. The neck profile is slightly thicker at the first fret and slimmer at the twelfth, while the updated HiMass Pro bridge now uses brass saddles and brass backstops for a more substantial, refined design. The Olympic White finish, tortoiseshell pickguard, and rosewood fingerboard give this version a classic Fender look, while the updated neck, pickup, and hardware make it well suited to players who need a dependable bass for rehearsals, gigs, sessions, and everyday use.

The maple neck uses a Modified 1963 "C" profile with rolled fingerboard edges and Fender's "Super-Natural" satin urethane finish for a smooth, broken-in feel. A 9.5" radius, 20 narrow tall frets, and 1.625" nut width provide a comfortable balance for traditional fingerstyle, pick playing, and more aggressive right-hand techniques. The V-Mod III split-coil Precision Bass pickup keeps the core P Bass voice intact, delivering articulate attack, solid low-end punch, and the familiar growl that sits easily in a band mix.

The HiMass Pro bridge can be set up for either string-through-body or top-load operation, while Fender lightweight vintage-style tuners provide dependable tuning without adding unnecessary weight at the headstock. ClassicGear Precision potentiometers keep the volume and tone controls smooth and predictable. We think the Olympic White version is an especially good fit for players who want classic P Bass styling with the refinements of Fender's refreshed professional platform.
