Description
The Fender American Professional Stratocaster Maple in Aged Cherry Burst marks a fresh chapter in Fender's modern professional lineup. You've seen the original American Professional, the American Professional II, and the American Professional Classic. This refreshed American Professional Series a number of meaningful under-the-hood updates, including tighter-tolerance electronics with treble bleed to retain clarity as the volume is rolled back. Its upgraded 2-point tremolo uses a cold-rolled steel block for added sustain and definition, while redesigned saddles keep adjustment screws from protruding into the picking hand. The Aged Cherry Burst finish shows off the wood grain of the Ash body, coupled with a white pearloid pickguard, aged white plastics, and maple fingerboard, this version has a dressier look while retaining the practical, player-focused design of the rest of the series.
The Deep "C" maple neck features rolled fingerboard edges, a 9.5" radius, and Fender's "Super-Natural" satin urethane finish for a smooth, comfortable feel whether you're playing chords down low or working higher up the neck. The sculpted heel improves upper-fret access, while 22 narrow tall frets provide plenty of room for expressive bends and precise lead work. Three V-Mod III Strat single-coils deliver articulate attack, bell-like chime, and warm clean tones, with enough range to move comfortably between recording, gigging, and pedal-heavy setups.
The two-point synchronized tremolo pairs a cold-rolled steel block with ClassicGear Radial bent-steel saddles for responsive pitch control and easy adjustment. Fender staggered sealed tuners, a bone nut, and Micro-Tilt neck adjustment help keep the instrument stable and straightforward to maintain. We think the Aged Cherry Burst version is an excellent fit for players who want the functionality of the refreshed American Professional Strat with a more distinctive, upscale visual treatment.
