Description
The Fender American Professional Stratocaster Rosewood in Dark Night marks a fresh chapter in Fender's modern professional lineup. You've seen the original American Professional, the American Professional II, and the American Professional Classic. This refreshed American Professional Series brings a number of meaningful under-the-hood updates, including tighter-tolerance electronics with treble bleed to retain clarity as the volume is rolled back. Its upgraded 2-point tremolo uses a cold-rolled steel block for added sustain and definition, while redesigned saddles keep adjustment screws from protruding into the picking hand. The Dark Night finish, black pickguard, and black plastics give this version a distinctly modern look, while the underlying design remains focused on the comfort, versatility, and reliability working Strat players depend on.
The Deep "C" maple neck features rolled fingerboard edges, a 9.5" radius, and Fender's "Super-Natural" satin urethane finish for a smooth feel across the entire neck. A sculpted heel improves access to the upper register, while 22 narrow tall frets make bends and lead work feel natural without losing the familiar response of a Strat. Three V-Mod III single-coils provide articulate attack, bell-like chime, and enough warmth to cover everything from clean rhythm parts to layered studio tracks and overdriven lead tones.
The two-point synchronized tremolo pairs a cold-rolled steel block with ClassicGear Radial bent-steel saddles for smooth operation and easy adjustment. Fender staggered sealed tuners, a bone nut, and Micro-Tilt neck adjustment give players practical tools for keeping the guitar stable and properly set up. We think the Dark Night version is a strong option for players who want all the functionality of the refreshed American Professional Strat in one of the series' most contemporary-looking finishes.
