Setting out to make an excellent player-grade 12-string acoustic guitar, Fender took their beloved Classic Design Series 12-string and made it even better. Built with a mahogany back and sides and fit with a solid spruce top, the dreadnought-style body of this acoustic has a rich, full, articulate tone, with plenty of projection. The addition of a scalloped X-bracing on the interior of the body gives this acoustic a pleasant bump in clarity as well as added durability. And, if that wasn't enough, the body has a convenient single cutaway that allows for easy access to all 20 frets.
This CD-60SCE Dreadnought sports an innovative new Easy-to-Play neck profile with rolled fingerboard edges, making for a smooth and effortless playing experience all the way up the neck. It's also been fit with a wonderfully sleek walnut fretboard that adds a blend of warmth and crispness to your tone.
One of the coolest features of this acoustic is its advanced on-board electronics. Equipped with a Fishman Classic Design pickup/preamp that retains your natural, acoustic tone, you can plug into an amp or powered speaker and play in much louder environments. If you're looking for a little bit of extra tonal versatility, don't worry - the Fishman preamp on this guitar has an intuitive set of volume, bass, and treble knobs for you to tweak to your heart's content.
