Description
Fender Custom Shop's 1956 Stratocaster Time Machine Relic brings undeniable old-school Strat aesthetics, in-hand feel, and tone right to your fingertips. With all of its nicks, dings, dents, and scratches, it has the look of a classic Stratocaster straight out of the '50s, plus matching vintage-style hardware. This artfully relic'd guitar brings much more than worn-in looks, however: it has an incredibly set of pickups that dish out the classic Stratocaster jangle and chime, but with a little bit more tonal versatility. This is brought about by its excellent trio of Fat '50s single-coil pickups, with a Reverse-Wound Reverse-Polarity middle pickup and Fat '50s wiring, giving this set of pickups some extra bass response and higher output than the originals. Another great thing about this Strat is its neck: a rift-sawn maple neck with a "V" profile and 9.5" radius maple fingerboard, complete with 21 Narrow Tall / 6105 frets for an in-hand feel that will put Strat lovers right at home. From top to bottom, the 1956 Stratocaster Time Machine Relic is a fitting tribute to an iconic era in Fender's storied history.
