This is a Limited Edition 2019 Fender Custom Shop Roasted Pine Double Esquire. This guitar is based off of the early-fifties Esquires, which were prototypes for what became the Telecaster. This guitar is far more than a reissue, though: it’s got an eye-popping Pink Paisley finish, a versatile, yet vintage-style pickup set, and top-notch attention to detail resulting in astounding playability. The 10/56 “V” profile on the guitar’s rift sawn maple neck will make you feel right at home, while its 7.25” to 9.5” compound radius ensures easy bending the farther you get up the fretboard. In addition, this Double Esquire’s relic job gives it the look and feel of a true ‘50s original (minus the paisley finish), and its pair of handwound blackguard pickups dish out classic Telecaster tones with ease, with the “crushed” bridge pickup wired a hotter for extra bite when you need it.
