Stevie Ray Vaughan is one of the most revered Stratocaster players of all time, so it's only right that Fender Custom Shop has paid tribute to the legendary guitarist with the SRV Signature Stratocaster. This guitar pays tribute to the late guitarist in numerous ways, with exceptional in-hand feel, killer high-output blues tone, and undeniable SRV vibes. Vaughan's original Stratocaster was heavily modified, and this one follows in the footsteps of the original, with three Custom Shop Hand-Wound Texas Special pickups, you get the fiery, soulful blues sound that he helped revive in the '80s and '90s. Stevie Ray also used a left-handed tremolo so that he could use the trem arm with his elbow, as homage to his personal guitar hero, Jimi Hendrix, and that same tremolo system is included in this guitar. This Stratocaster also features a tinted riftsawn maple neck and an “Oval C” neck profile which is thinner on the treble side for easy bends. And with a tasteful relic job that gives the appearance of a well-played, aged guitar, vintage-style wiring, a 3-ply “SRV” pickguard, vintage-style tuning machines, and an included Certificate of Authenticity, the Fender Custom Shop SRV Signature Strat rings true with the unmistakable aura of the legendary blues guitarist throughout its design.
