Designed with comfort and aesthetics in mind, the body of this uke is made of sturdy Sapele, with a Dark Walnut gloss finish, cream binding, fan bracing, and a concert shape. Its Nato neck has a gloss finish and easily navigable Walnut fingerboard, with 16 frets and dot inlays. Plus, the Grace CanderWaal Signature’s electronics make it stage-ready, with a Kula preamp system plus a built-in tuner, 3-band EQ, and master volume control. You’ll also find several small touches that exude VanderWaal’s “Boho Chic” style, with a gold sparkle rosette, custom floral soundhole label, gold tuners, Tele-style headstock, and a GVW heart signature on the headstock rear. This ukulele is fitting for a musical prodigy such as VanderWaal, and pulls out all the stops to make it one of Fender’s best-playing ukuleles with a style that’s all its own.
