Through it all, his go-to guitar has been a refinished '59 Strat with the pickups swapped out, nicknamed "Coma," and it's the perfect match to Michael's soulful, dynamic playing. The all-new Fender Michael Landau Coma Stratocaster is a recreation of Michael's iconic guitar with its current mods, and it's perfect for players seeking a high-quality hot-rodded Strat.
Aesthetically, the Michael Landau Strat knocks it out of the park. From its gorgeous aging to its engraved neck plate and half-stripped Coma Red finish, this guitar has the same vintage charm as Michael's own Fender. Looks aren't all this beauty has to offer, though - its Custom "C" shaped maple neck has a satin finish that gives it a fast, comfortable feel, and its 21-fret rosewood fingerboard plays like a dream.
Fueling this Fender is a pair of custom-designed ML Ultra Noiseless Strat neck and middle pickups and a custom Wide Range humbucker. Together, these pickups cover a ton of tonal ground. The single-coils deliver crystal-clear highs and thumpy lows, while the humbucker has a rawer, gutsier sound that adds 'oomph' to your playing. Whether you play jazz, rock, funk, pop, or anything in between, this guitar is more than capable of blending right in.
Other appointments include a 6-saddle vintage-style synchronized tremolo bridge with bent steel saddles, Classicgear™ tuners, and a genuine bone nut. It also ships with a custom Coma-embroidered hardshell case, sticker set, custom strap, and a Coma booklet written by Michael.
