When building this guitar, Fender knew that it needed to retain the iconic Fender sound. That's why they crafted it using one of their most classic tonewood pairings: alder and maple. Using alder for the body and maple for the neck, this guitar has a rich, sustaining tone, bolstered by bright, snappy highs.
Not only does this Strat sound great, but it was constructed to offer superb playability. With its modern C neck profile and 9.5" radius maple fingerboard, gliding up and down the neck is an effortless experience. And, thanks to the comfortable double cutaways, you'll be able to shred on all 21 medium jumbo frets with ease.
Powering this guitar is a unique set of MP-90 single coil pickups. These pickups are incredibly dynamic and offer a wide range of excellent tones. Roll back the volume a bit, and you'll easily achieve sweet, chiming Strat tones. Push these pickups to the max, though, and you'll be met with a thick, snarling tone, complete with deep lows, punchy mids, and growling highs.
