Fender Pugilist V2 Distortion Pedal gives you two fully independent distortion circuits in a single enclosure, making it an excellent choice for players who want everything from focused rhythm tones to stacked, high-gain saturation without adding multiple pedals to the board. Each side has its own distinct voice, with Engine A delivering brighter, cutting lead tones while Engine B offers a thicker, heavier distortion. Whether you're playing classic hard rock, modern metal, or building layered gain sounds, the Pugilist V2 provides plenty of flexibility while remaining easy to dial in.
Each distortion engine features its own Gain, Tone, and Level controls along with dedicated footswitches, allowing you to engage either side independently or combine them for even more saturation. The Path switch lets you choose between three routing options, including two Series modes that cascade one circuit into the other like switching between amp channels, or a Parallel mode that blends both engines together using their individual Level controls for a wide range of custom drive textures. Global Mid Cut and Bass Boost switches provide additional tonal shaping, while selectable true bypass or buffered bypass modes and Fender's Multi-Switch footswitch functionality support both latching and momentary operation.
