Vaughan's original Stratocaster was heavily modified, and this one follows in the footsteps of the original, with three Custom Shop Texas Special Single-Coil Strat pickups that do a remarkable job at deliverying the scorching, yet soulful blues sound at the forefront of the genre's revival in the '80s and '90s. Stevie Ray also used a left-handed tremolo so that he could use the trem arm with his elbow, as homage to his personal guitar hero, Jimi Hendrix, and that same tremolo system is included in this guitar. You'll love the neck on this Strat too: a Thick "Oval" profile gives a more substantial fretting-hand feel, so if you love a big, sturdy baseball bat-style neck, you'll feel right at home. And thanks to an SRV-engraved pickguard, gold hardware, and a 3 Color Sunburst finish, this guitar has all the hallmarks of a true SRV Strat, from top to bottom.
