This axe starts with an alder body equipped with a HiMass vintage bridge, giving it a bright, punchy sound with pronounced upper mids and truckloads of sustain. Its Custom '70s Precision Bass neck has a comfortable "C" shape, and its 9.5" radius slab rosewood fingerboard and 20 medium jumbo frets play exceptionally well. It doesn't just play great, though - from its pearloid block inlays to its Silverburst finish and distinctive chromed control plate, this bass has a stunning appearance that commands attention.
Fender equipped this bass with a pair of Tim Shaw-designed PJ pickups that deliver a crushing tone that's great for rock and metal. It also features a custom-voiced 18V preamp that allows players to layer in colossal lows and cutting highs. If you're more traditional, though, don't worry - just flip the active/passive toggle switch, and this bass will churn out classic, growling P Bass tones that'll take you straight to rock 'n' roll heaven.
