The Fender Vintera Road Worn 60s Double Esquire DE FSR in Black is a limited-run take on one of Fender's most stripped-down designs, adding a second pickup for considerably more versatility. Built for players who want the look and broken-in feel of a vintage Fender without stepping into Custom Shop territory, this Dealer Exclusive Factory Special Run combines a Road Worn lacquer finish with a pair of Custom Shop '51 Nocaster pickups wired in the traditional Double Esquire fashion. It is a natural fit for country, blues, rock, roots music, and anyone who wants classic Tele-style sounds from a guitar with a little more personality.
The maple neck has an Early '60s "C" profile and a 9.5" fingerboard radius, giving it a vintage-inspired feel without being as restrictive for bends and lead work as a traditional 7.25" radius. Fender's Road Worn nitrocellulose lacquer treatment adds light checking and wear for a played-in feel, while the 21 frets and 25.5" scale keep the overall playing experience firmly rooted in classic Fender territory. Custom Shop '51 Nocaster single-coils in the bridge and neck provide the clear attack, twang, and definition that work especially well for clean playing and edge-of-breakup tones.
