When designing this semi-hollow, Gibson's master craftsmen meticulously studied, scanned, and listened to audio examples from original '61 ES-335s to ensure it was practically indistinguishable from the real thing. From its period-correct hardware to its dead-on Sixties Cherry finish, this guitar looks, sounds, and feels like it stepped out of a time capsule. Beyond its remarkable historical accuracy, this guitar is a blast to play, courtesy of its SlimTaper 60s "C" shaped mahogany neck and smooth Indian Rosewood fingerboard. Its Custombucker III pickups sound fantastic, too, delivering a stellar array of classic Gibson tones. Play delicately, and these pickups will respond with a sweet, warm chime. Dig in hard, and you'll conjure a bright, searing howl. And thanks to the CTS 500K audio taper pots and paper-in-oil capacitors on board, this guitar's internal signal path is as good as it gets
