Start with the body: a lightweight mahogany with a figured, two-piece maple top, in the timeless Iced Tea Burst finish. Its hide-glued extended neck tenon provides a remarkable amount of sustain, and perfectly fuses the body and neck. Its bound solid rosewood fingerboard and medium jumbo frets feel great to play along with an authentic '59 "Medium C" neck shape. Plus, Kluson Deluxe tuners, an original-spec non-tubed truss rod, and cellulose trapezoid inlays further its vintage authenticity. And the tone - the tone! We can't say enough about this guitar's Custombucker Alnico III pickups. They are designed to faithfully recreate the much-desired '59 tone, with vintage CTS pots and Bumblebee capacitors that help give it that unmistakable vintage character.
