Description

The King of Rock and Roll had an extensive collection of guitars, and it wouldn't have been complete without a Gibson SJ-200, the "King of Flat-Tops." A gift given to him during a recording session at RCA Studio B in the '60s, Elvis performed with his SJ-200 until he gifted it to a friend in 1976. The new Gibson Elvis SJ-200 is modeled after that same guitar, and it's a masterfully-built acoustic that's great for professional players, savvy collectors, and Elvis enthusiasts alike.

Starting with a maple body and a solid Sitka spruce top, the Elvis SJ-200 has a powerful, balanced sound with excellent articulation and plenty of low-end punch. Its Super Jumbo body projects exceptionally well, and its hand-carved scalloped X-bracing allows the top to move more freely, giving it a bigger, livelier sound. Players who perform in loud folk, pop, and country bands will particularly love this SJ-200's LR Baggs VTC under-saddle pickup that perfectly captures its bold, woody tone and has tons of volume on tap.

While it sounds incredible, the Elvis SJ-200 is on an entirely different level regarding aesthetics and playability. Its mother-of-pearl inlays, moustache bridge, and tortoise shell pickguard look classic and elegant, and its gold-finished hardware adds a striking element to its appearance. And thanks to this model's rounded mahogany neck and Indian Rosewood fingerboard, it plays great for a wide range of styles and techniques.

Strong, sleek, and stylish, the Gibson Elvis SJ-200 is an absolute powerhouse of an acoustic. Please reach out if you have any questions about this outstanding guitar!
