Since its initial late-thirties release, the SJ-200 has inspired countless musicians and became one of the most widely played acoustic guitars of all time. Now, with the all-new SJ-200 Original, you get the all the vintage mojo and modern in-hand feel and playability of a brand new guitar. It features all the aesthetic hallmarks of an SJ-200: a carved four-bar Moustache bridge, engraved tortoise pickguard, mother of pearl crown inlays, and Gotoh Keystone tuning machines. Plus, with flame maple back and sides on this guitar plus an Antique Natural finish, you get some absolutely gorgeous woodgrain. This maple, combined with a Sitka spruce top and traditional hand-scalloped X-bracing, results in a spirited, vigorous tone with plenty of low-end boom and projection for big chords, and also heaps of top-end sparkle. The Round profile 2-piece maple neck yields an incredibly comfortable in-hand feel, while LR Baggs VTC electronics ensure your tone is as alive and authentic as ever when played through an amplifier or PA system.
