This is the undeniably cool modern standard Gretsch G6136T Black Falcon. This is one the coolest hollow bodies Gretsch has ever made. It's essentially the same as the legendary G6136T White Falcon but in high gloss black finish. In the fifties and sixties Gretsch never made a "Black Falcon" and many enthusiasts have been waiting a very long time for this one! This is top of the line pro series Gretsch material and it does not disappoint in looks or sound. The High Sensitive FilterTrons are phenomenal pickups that achieve authentic Gretsch character, aka “That Great Gretsch Sound.” They have a warm woody tone with great note definition, big round bass response and very clean and articulate high end. The Falcon features a jumbo 17” body fully bound with gold sparkle. The neck profile is a sleek medium oval that has a great feel to it without being too thick or thin. The G6136T comes with ML bracing which adds sustain and increased feedback rejection while letting the guitar still retain a classic hollow body sound.
