As a part of Gretsch's Roots Series, the Dixie 5 Open-Back Banjo is styled after folk instruments of the early 20th century. However, while they exude vintage aesthetics, modern appointments make this banjo stand out from the rest. The G9450 has been updated for 2014 with a new rolled brass tone ring and Grover tuning machines.The brass tone ring is a major improvement over the previous version that gives the instrument a clearer, punchier and louder voice. This is a really fun little banjo with just the right features to make it a perfect beginner instrument.
