The H-530 starts with a laminated curly maple body and top, giving it a naturally bright and punchy voice with plenty of top-end clarity. The lack of a center block - one of the hallmarks of this model - contributes to its weight and comfort and provides it with plenty of resonance. The H-530 also sports a mahogany neck that feels nice and sleek and an Indian rosewood fingerboard with plek'd frets that makes it easy to riff away for hours.
Powering the H-530 is a pair of Lollar Alnico V 'dog ear' pickups that churn out a stellar array of mid-'50s inspired tones. Roll on the neck pickup, and you'll be greeted by a fat, rich warmth that'll sound right at home in jazz and blues settings. Crank the bridge pickup, and you'll hear that coveted P-90 snarl, perfect for playing blistering lead lines and screamin' solos. Blend these two pickups, and you'll get a sound that's thick, expressive, and exceptional for virtually any style of music.
