Description
Designed in collaboration with Killswitch Engage bassist Mike D'Antonio, the MDB5 is a one-of-a-kind axe built for high-gain players. Featuring a striking body shape and a pair of Seymour Duncan pickups, this bass is perfect for metal musicians seeking a top-notch bass that'll stand out on stage.
The MDB5 starts with an Okoume body that gives it a bright, solid tonal foundation. Its 3-piece maple neck plays with a nice, comfortable feel, and its rosewood fingerboard provides a well-balanced tone with a strong mid-range response. Players will also appreciate the MDB5's Accu-cast B200 bridge which gives it a massive sound with tons of sustain.
PJ fans will love the MDB5's Seymour Duncan pickups that give it a wide range of classic, throaty tones. With an SPB-1 split-coil that delivers a rich, midsy growl and an SJB-2B single-coil that churns out classic scooped tones, this bass can cover a wide range of rock 'n' roll sounds. And, thanks to the master volume, pickup balance, and back-mounted tone control, the MDB5 has plenty of sonic versatility.
Finished in a brutal Oxblood Weathered Black, the Ibanez MDB5 is an excellent choice for bassists who want a brutal axe that looks as mean as it sounds.
