Description
With a slim body and a thick sound, the SRFF805 continues the Ibanez tradition of building top-notch and innovative modern basses with excellent versatility. Its trim body is made of a solid piece of gorgeously-figured ash that’s been tapered and rounded at its edges. The neck is similarly slim with a low-friction satin finish that ensures maximum playability from the nut up to the last fret. Its most noticeable feature is its set of fanned frets, which were once reserved for boutique builders until Ibanez introduced it at a much more pocket-friendly price. The aim is to not only create a more ergonomically-minded and faster playing surface, but one that maximizes individual string tension for a better sound and feel. Plus, between the Bartolini pickups and the built-in 3-band EQ, players can span a wide range of tone from low-end rumble to perfect mid-range pop, making this bass exceptionally versatile.
