The Jackson Pro Series Phil Collen Signature PC1-E, Worn Black carries forward one of Jackson's longest-running artist relationships, bringing key elements of Phil Collen's PC1 Dinky into a performance-focused Pro Series model. The mahogany Dinky body wears a distressed Worn Black nitrocellulose lacquer finish with gold hardware, while the caramelized maple neck is reinforced with graphite and paired with an ebony fingerboard. A 12"-16" compound radius, 25.5" scale, and 24 jumbo frets give you the flatter upper-register feel you'd expect from a guitar built for fast leads without sacrificing a comfortable response for rhythm work.
The HSS pickup configuration is where the PC1-E really separates itself from a typical high-performance Dinky. A DiMarzio X2N DP102 humbucker handles the bridge, with a DiMarzio Sugar Chakra DP427BK in the middle and a PC1 Sustainer Driver at the neck. The 18-volt Jackson Sustainer System can extend notes into sustained feedback-like textures, with dedicated intensity and Fundamental/Harmonic/Blend controls. A push-pull coil split on the volume control adds another option when you want to pull the X2N away from its full humbucker voice. The five-way blade switch keeps the standard HSS combinations readily accessible.
A recessed Floyd Rose 1000 Series double-locking tremolo and matching locking nut give you the stability needed for aggressive pitch work, while Jackson sealed die-cast locking tuners make string changes more manageable. Lum inlay side dots help with visibility on darker stages, and the single pearloid sharkfin at the 12th fret keeps the ebony board visually clean. A foam core case is included. We think the PC1-E makes the most sense for the player who wants a serious rock guitar that can cover conventional HSS sounds but also gives you the Floyd and Sustainer system for techniques a standard electric simply can't pull off.
