Tailored to Mike Campbell’s studio and live tone preferences, The Calhoun V2 is a collaborative effort between JHS and the man universally known for his role in Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, as well as numerous other historical and timeless musicians. At its heart, this pedal is a 2-in-1 overdrive/fuzz pedal that is split between two sets of controls, one for each side. Its setup is incredibly intuitive and between both sides, is able to range from a subtly pushed boost to a tasteful, grinding fuzz. In all, it’s the perfect all-in-one grit machine that never strays from having impeccable tone. Plus, as the pedal’s main image implies, Campbell’s dog-loving nature means that all of his profit from the pedals goes directly to the Tazzy Fund Animal Rescue, making the pedal a win-win for guitar hounds and bloodhounds alike.
