After six years of tweaking, JHS has finally landed on the Pulp N Peel V4. While its predecessors have already become pedalboard staples for players who would normally buck traditional compressors, this version adds a few new features without straying from its popular design. It now includes an improved detection circuit that results in increased smoothness and sustain, additional headroom, a built-in parallel overdrive circuit, a tone control and parallel ¼” and DI outputs. Of course, all of this is already built on top of an intuitively-controlled pedal with natural response across the board, making it one of the most comprehensive compressors on the market.
