This little pedal may not look like much, but it's an incredibly versatile tool that allows players to take control of their favorite expression effects in an innovative new way. The Expression Ramper allows players to capture two expression effect presets and switch between them using the pedal's A and B positions. After an expression effect preset has been assigned to the A and B slots, players can move between them to create dynamic effects.
When in back-and-forth mode, the Expression Ramper will automatically go between the A and B presets for a "ping-pong" style effect. This can be used in tons of exciting ways. For example, if you have the Expression Ramper plugged into an octave pedal, you can assign slot A to the lower octave and slot B to the higher octave. The octave will automatically wave up and down, bouncing between both settings for a cool, dramatic effect.
In one-shot mode, the Expression Ramper will switch between settings when the footswitch is pressed. This mode is great for players who want to change expression effect settings mid-song without manually adjusting their pedals.
The Expression Ramper also has settings that change the LFO shape from triangle to square for gradual and instantaneous shifts, as well as a rate switch that controls how fast the effects ping-pong. No matter what you want to do with your expression effects, Old Blood likely thought of that and implemented it into the Expression Ramper.
