The MK Ultra is Orange's first-ever amplifier designed, built, and hand-wired in the USA. Crafted with premium components, including American-made custom Heyboer transformers, the MK Ultra represents a marriage of classic American and British tonal sensibilities, giving it a unique spin on the classic Orange sound.
The MK Ultra features carefully tuned input circuitry that responds exceptionally well to your guitar's volume and tone settings, giving it loads of sonic versatility. This is facilitated by a pair of 12AX7 preamp valves that feed into a power amp section consisting of two 6L6GC power valves that are cathode-biased - a first for Orange, giving the MK Ultra all the harmonics and touch sensitivity players could ever need.
Although the MK Ultra features an intuitive three-knob design, it has loads of tones on tap for musicians of all varieties. The Volume knob is as much a tone control as the Sing and Deep controls due to the circuit design. As you start to crank the volume control, you'll hear more saturation with the 6L6s starting to break up, giving you a spongy, driven attack. If you need a little more bite and treble for blistering leads, turn up the Sing knob. If you need to thicken out your sound for chugging rhythm parts, dial in the Deep control to your liking. Though simple, the MK Ultra's interface is impressively dynamic and can yield a wealth of excellent sounds, making it perfect for players of any style.
