Description

Ultra rare & all original 1969 Fender Telecaster Thinline finished in three-tone sunburst, a color rarely seen from this period.  Most of the Thinlines we've seen are natural finish & usually in far worse condition, so this one's a real gem indeed!  Lightweight & super resonant with a beautiful, natural acoustic tone.  The tight, neck/body connection makes for great sustain & the double single coils sound absolutely amazing with clear, bell-like tones that really ring out.  Professionally inspected by the vintage experts at Cream City Music, so you're guaranteed to be getting the real deal.  The guitar has also been professionally set up by our own luthier, so it plays & sounds fantastic!  Don't miss out on a wonderful opportunity to own a rare piece of Fender history.

Cosmetic Condition:  Good, honest play wear from a guitar that was used, but certainly not abused - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & some finish wear.  There is a tiny cigarette stain on the headstock which only adds to the guitar's charm.  There are, however, absolutely no offensive odors from the guitar or its case.  Overall the guitar has a great vibe to it with a gorgeous patina.

Neck:  Nicely rounded, slender profile maple neck with skunk stripe & black dot inlays.  The micro side-dot at the ninth fret is missing.  Small frets (typical of the period) show some wear, but have plenty of life in them.  Headstock decals are in great shape - very clean with no bits missing.  F-tuners are in perfect working condition.  1 5/8" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length.  Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.  Neck stamp reads 3 MAY 69 B.

Body: Semi-hollow ash body with single F-hole & finished in three-tone sunburst.  String-thru bridge with three adjustable "barrel" saddles.  Original bridge cover included.  3-ply pearloid pickguard is in great shape with no cracks & only mild warping/shrinkage.  Guitar weighs 6 lbs 4.2 oz.

Pickups:  Original Tele single coils.  Bridge - 6.22K ohms; Neck - 6.52K ohms.  Master volume & tone controls with knurled knobs; 3-way selector switch with black "top hat" cap.  All electronics are in perfect working condition.

Case:  Original hardshell case included.  Part of the Fender logo on the outside of the case is missing, but the case is in great shape overall.
