Description

We've had many late '70s ES-335s over the years, but mostly sunburst or black. Here's an exceptionally cool & somewhat rare natural version that's rather clean & shows off some pretty figuring in the maple. A marvelous player with gorgeous tone, this guitar is a definite must-have for any Gibson enthusiast. Professionally set up & ready to play upon arrival.

Cosmetic Condition: Great shape for being 40 years old with only mild play wear - various minor nicks, chips; dents & dings; surface scratches. Really nice condition & quite clean really.

Neck: 3-piece maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Small frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Gibson-engraved nickel tuners in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.

Body: Double-bound, semi-hollow maple body with dual F-holes. The original trapeze tailpiece was replaced with a Stopbar & there are extra screw holes in the bottom of the body.  Tune-O-Matic bridge & 5-ply black pickguard. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 3.8 oz.

Electronics: Dual Gibson humbuckers with black bezels. Bridge - 7.66K ohms; Neck - 8.21K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with black "witch hat" knobs. 3-way toggle switch & 2-way coil tap. All electronics are in perfect working condition.

Case: Original hardshell case included. The bottom clasp is missing, but aside from that the case is in good condition.
