Description

What makes this guitar special: Most Guild jumbos we come across feature Maple back & sides, but this one offers the highly sought-after Rosewood, delivering gorgeous, glistening, chiming tones that ring out for days. Additional high-grade appointments include Abalone & mother of pearl fretboard inlays along with multiple binding throughout the guitar. Professionally inspected & set up by our own in-house luthier, so it plays & sounds magnificent!

Cosmetic Condition: The guitar needed some work when we acquired it. The neck had shifted forward which put a crack in the top on the treble side, parallel to the neck. Our luthier was able to shift the neck back into proper position, then glue & cleat the crack. There are additional supports just under the neck where it joins the soundhole. The bridge was lifting & needed to be reset, which we did as well along with adding a new saddle. Aside from that there are no other cracks, breaks or repairs. There are various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some mild finish wear throughout the guitar - basically good, honest play wear that adds to its authentic vintage charm & beautiful patina.

Neck: Rounded mahogany neck with nicely aged binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with abalone & mother of pearl block inlays. Original frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Bound headstock with mother of pearl Guild & "G" logo inlays. Gold Guild tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 7/8" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Double truss function properly.

Body: Jumbo size body with multiple binding. Solid spruce top with black pickguard & multi-ring rosette. Ebony bridge with cream end pins & compensated saddle. Solid Indian Rosewood back & sides with geometric center strip. There are no electronics & guitar weighs 6 lbs 8.5 oz.

Case: Original hardshell case included. The case shows some wear & tear & a portion of the back clasp is missing, however, it's still quite sturdy & serves it purpose well.
