Description
Developed by Jim Burns & Bob Pearson for Ivor Arbiter of the Dallas Arbiter Company & built by Shergold in England from about 1970 until 1973, this super cool & somewhat rare Hayman 30 30 features a solid obeche body, maple neck & a pair of cool sounding Re-An humbuckers. Professionally set up & ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Good honest play wear - lots of nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. Overall the guitar has a great true vintage vibe to it with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Slender profile maple neck with black binding & cream side-dots. Maple fingerboard with black dot inlays. Small frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Grover Rotomatic tuners in perfect working condition. 1 5/8" nut width with zero fret; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Solid obeche body in natural finish. String-thru bridge with adjustable saddles. The saddles are a bit rusty, but still function. Smoked plexiglass pickguard with metal control plate. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 10.4 oz.
Electronics: Re-An humbuckers. Neck - 12.71K ohms; Bridge - 11.79K ohms. Master volume & tone controls with 3-way selector switch. All electronics are in good working condition.
