Description
Made for only a very brief moment in '66/'67 the Vox Invader features a bound carved top & contoured body, similar in appearance to Mosrite guitars. It also includes onboard nine-volt battery operated special effects: treble & bass booster, distortion, repeater, Wah-Wah & an E tuner. Fully functioning & in great shape for its age. Professionally set up & ready to play upon arrival.
Cosmetic Condition: Great shape for its age with minimal wear - various minor nicks & dings; surface scratches & some mild weather checking. The pickguard has shrunk somewhat so not all the screws line up with the holes anymore (down by the input jack).
Overall the guitar has a cool vibe to it & looks marvelous.
Neck: Slender profile maple neck with cream binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Closed-back Vox tuners in good working condition. 1 9/16" nut width with zero fret; 25" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Double-cutaway solid body with carved top & 3-ply binding. Unoriginal Bigsby tremolo bridge. You can see the filled hole where the original tremolo bridge once was. Large plexi tortoise pickguard has shrunk a bit & a couple of the lower screws no longer line up with the holes in the body. Back pad is in good condition with all the snaps present. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 1.2 oz.
Electronics: Dual single coils with black bezels. Master volume with dual tone controls & 3-way toggle switch. Treble/Bass Booster, Distortion, Repeater, Wah Wah & E-Tuner. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Padded gig bag included.
