If you're used to shredding on 10's, you have to give Stringjoy's Balanced Light Nickel Wound Electric Guitar Strings a try. Dedicated to fixing the tension issues of standard light gauge guitar strings, Stringjoy found that there were big dips in tension on both the 2nd and 6th strings. To combat this, Stringjoy tweaked the gauges on these strings, changing the 2nd string to a .0135 gauge and the 6th string to a .048 gauge. Not only does this give these strings a more substantial feel and full-bodied tone, but it gives this set an even playability and an improved intonation. With a nickel-plated steel wrap wire around a hexagonal high-carbon steel core, these strings have a stellar modern tone that'll bring brightness and clarity to your playing.
