Description

Strymon's El Capistan V2 provides three different tape machine types in one pedal, allowing players to channel all kinds of tape delay, from full-bodied and fresh to dark and sputtering. With three unique modes per type, this pedal is a tone-tweaker's dream come true.

The El Capistan V2 allows players to shape their tape delay sound to perfectly suit their needs, offering extensive control over tape quality, machine health, and tone shaping. Whether you're looking to conjure the full-range sonic stability of a fresh-from-the-factory echo machine or the heavily fluctuating sound of a road-worn unit in need of service, this pedal is more than up to the challenge.

New to the V2 is a spring reverb algorithm inspired by the reverb tanks some classic tape echo machines had, and it sounds unbelievable - its gorgeous, gentle character is excellent for adding color to solos, lead lines, and just about anything else. It also features a premium analog JFET input circuit that ensures superb responsiveness, mono or stereo input options, and an ARM DSP chip that provides more processing power. In addition to internal upgrades, the El Capistan V2 supports full MIDI implementation, meaning players can control just about every switch, knob, and setting by sending MIDI commands from your controller or DAW to the El Capistan's EXP/MIDI jack or USB-C connection.

Complete with 300 MIDI preset locations for storing and recalling your favorite settings, Strymon's El Capistan V2 is perfect for vintage tone purists seeking a boutique tape delay pedal.
