Universal Audio's Astra takes players deep down the rabbit hole of classic analog modulation, making it perfect for players who love vintage modulation effects.

The Astra features three primary modulation effects, giving it tons of sonic versatility. The first mode, Chorus Brigade, emulates the thick, waxy tones of the Boss CE-1. It even recreates the preamp section of the CE-1, giving it an incredibly authentic sound.

The second mode, Flanger/Doubler, recreates the sound of a late '70s rackmount MXR unit, delivering 'whoosh' effects and wild sounds that go way beyond typical flanger boxes. This mode is the only endtoend circuit emulation of this ultrarare unit, and it captures that classic sound to a "T."

The final mode, Trem 65, is designed to emulate the optical tube-driven tremolo of a '60s American-made amplifier. Universal Audio went all-out when designing this algorithm, recreating every detail of the original, down to the complex interactions between the light source photoresistor and the 12AT7 driver tube. This mode is great for players who love rich, undulating tremolos with tons of depth.

Designed to capture every quirk and nuance of vintage modulation effects, this pedal is excellent for vintage tone purists seeking a top-notch modulation pedal.
