Description
What makes this guitar special: This is a great playing and even better sounding Hummingbird complete with traditional tonality and aesthetics. The tone is truly the highlight of this guitar, as anyone already familiar with previous models or even the history knows, this guitar really sings. It boasts an incredibly robust mid-range that extends aptly into the lows without getting muddy and stretches into the highs while providing equal amounts of body and clarity, all with responsive attack. In addition, the body is incredibly clean and our techs have given it a great setup so it plays beautifully from head to toe.
Condition: This Hummingbird is in excellent condition overall, if not better. It only has a few very minor dings and some light surface scratches, but otherwise is super clean and still looks fantastic for a used guitar. The frets show no wear at all and still have a full lifetime left in them. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions as it should.
Body: Square-shouldered dreadnought body with multi-ply top and back binding, a solid Sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides in Heritage Cherry Sunburst. Double ring rosette. Traditional belly up rosewood bridge and compensated saddle. Traditional tortoiseshell pickguard.
Neck: Slim Taper profile mahogany neck and 12” radius bound rosewood fingerboard with Mother of Pearl split parallelogram inlays. 1.725” nut width. Grover nickel Rotomatic tuning machines.
Electronics: L.R. Baggs Element pickup with strap button mounted output jack. 1 x volume, 1 x tone control.
Weight: 4 lbs 7.3 oz
Playability/Sound: The Slim Taper neck is as easy to play as any Gibson. The overall tone starts with an airy low end, extends through a very rich midrange, and finishes with a crisp top end that perfectly compliments the upper mids for perfect attack and body.
Case: Includes original hardshell case.
