This '62 Vintage Reissue P-Bass is an excellent example of something that was done right many decades ago. The finish on both the body & neck have gracefully aged into a beautiful patina. The neck is exceptionally comfortable to play & the light weight body makes the bass well balanced & easy on the shoulder. The gorgeous, dark rosewood fingerboard is smooth to the touch & so well contrasted by the vintage-style tortoise pickguard. The pickup sounds fantastic & the tone is everything we love about great Fender basses. Cosmetic Condition: Used, but not abused, with signs of typical play wear - various surface scratches & some scuff marks along with a pretty good sized chip in the top of the bass-side horn near the strap button. The Olympic White finish has matured beautifully over the years, showing off some nice variegation throughout. Overall the bass has a wonderful look to it with a super cool vibe.
Neck: Vintage-profile maple neck with dark rosewood fingerboard & cream dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with practically no wear. Open-gear nickel tuners with round string tree & strap button on the back of the headstock (just the like the vintage ones). 1 5/8" nut width; 34" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Contoured, solid alder body finished in Olympic White. Top-loading bridge with four adjustable "barrel" saddles & 4-ply tortoise pickguard. Bass weighs a delightful 8 lbs 10.4 oz & is exceptionally resonant!
Electronics: Split single coil with black covers. Master volume & tone controls with knurled knobs. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
