Description
The 2010 Fender Acoustasonic Telecaster in Sunburst is a hybrid design built around a chambered ash body and dual-source electronics. The stock neck pickup(originally these came with a Twisted Tele neck pickup) has been replaced with a Dimarzio Twang King neck pickup. That, paired with a Fishman Aura undersaddle system, allows this guitar to operate as an electric, acoustic, or a blend of both. The layout stays practical, with separate control sections for each system rather than combining everything into a single interface. If you want an Acoustasonic but you don't really like the look of the modern generation, this is your guy right here- it looks super classy, and sounds exactly the way you'd hope it would plugged in.
Controls are split between the main body and upper bout. The main section includes a 3-way selector for electric, acoustic, or blended output, along with master volume and a concentric control for the magnetic pickup. The upper bout houses the Fishman Aura controls, including volume, tone, and a 4-position image selector. A mono/stereo output option(dip switch by the battery plate on the back) allows signal splitting when needed. It has been professionally inspected and set up.
Cosmetic Condition:
Clean with light signs of use. Minor surface wear consistent with handling.
Neck:
Maple neck with a Modern C profile and 25.5" scale length. Rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays and 22 frets showing minimal playwear. Neck is straight, truss rod functions properly.
Body:
Chambered ash body in Sunburst finish. Acoustic-style rosewood bridge with string-through construction. It weighs in at 7lbs and 2.5oz.
Electronics:
Dimarzio Twang King neck pickup paired with Fishman Aura undersaddle system. 3-way selector for electric, acoustic, or blend. Separate control sections for magnetic and acoustic systems, with 4-position image selector and mono/stereo output option. Electronics are functioning properly.
