At the heart of the American Performer Mustang Bass's design is its fantastic set of pickups. With the brand new Yosemite split-coil middle pickup, and Yosemite single-coil Jazz bass bridge pickup, you get dynamic tone and plenty of powerful low-end growl. These pickups have flat-staggered pole pieces and shellac coating for wide-ranging, heavy tone. These are excellent pickups that provide an extra layer of tonal versatility, and you'll only find them in the American Performers. Plus, the exceptional Greasebucket tone circuitry adds even more tonal layers to be uncovered. The American Performer also features a modern "C" shaped neck, 19 medium-jumbo frets, and a 9.5" radius fingerboard, which contribute to this bass's remarkable playability and rock-solid in-hand feel. Made in Corona, California, the American Performer Mustang Bass is a remarkable instrument with the wide-ranging tone and the unmatched playability you've come to expect from an authentic, USA-made Fender.
