Although it initially shared many design cues with the Telecaster, such as an oversized Tele headstock, slab body & chrome control plate, by 1954, the P-Bass had been updated with the same sweeping curves & contoured edges of the newly launched Stratocaster. The American Vintage II 1954 Precision Bass reproduces the quintessential tone & feel of the original. Other key features include a substantial '54 "C"-shape maple neck with a 7.25" radius fingerboard & vintage tall frets. The Pure Vintage 2-saddle bridge with fiber saddles, reverse open-gear tuners, finger rest & '54 Single-Coil Precision Bass pickup deliver classic Fender thump & style. Professionally set up & ready to play upon arrival.
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition - very clean & still like new with only some mild surface scratches.
Neck: Chunky maple neck with 7.25" radius maple fingerboard & black dot inlays. Frets are clean with no wear. Reverse open-gear "clover" tuners & round string tree. 1 11/16" nut width; 34" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Contoured, solid ash body finished in 2-color sunburst. String-thru bridge with two fiber saddle. Single-ply white pickguard & black tugbar. Bass weighs 9 lbs 8.5 oz.
Electronics: Pure Vintage '54 single coil with chrome cover. Master volume & tone controls with knurled dome knobs. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with accessories.
