Description
This fabulous Empire 67 Tele started life with an Olympic White finish, but the previous owner had it professionally refinished by Starr Refinishing & then gave it a relic treatment. The work was so superbly done, one might think it actually left the Fender Custom Shop this way. The roasted maple neck is silky smooth & the Narrow Tall frets make the guitar an absolute dream to play. Fully inspected & professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it's ready to perform straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Intentionally "aged" to give it that well-worn "vintage" look - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear.
Neck: Quartersawn, roasted maple neck with 60 style oval "C" shape neck. 9.5" - 12" compound radius dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Narrow Tall 6105 frets are clean with no wear. Vintage-style tuners with single string tree. 1.650" nut width; 25.5" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Solid roasted alder body refinished in Candy Apple Red. String-thru bridge with unoriginal compensated saddles. The original "barrel" saddles are included along with the original bridge cover. 3-ply white pickguard & chrome/nickel hardware. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 8.8 oz.
Electronics: Hand wound Empire Red Hot Tele single coils with 3-way selector switch. Master volume & tone controls with knurled knobs. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with COA, Shop Floor Traveler & accessories.
