Description
As part of Fender's 2015 10 for 15 program, this limited run Mahogany Strat still boasts a classic Strat look, feel & sound, but with a few variations that give it its own unique identity. Instead of a standard alder or upgraded ash body, it boasts a two-piece solid mahogany body, contoured in all the familiar ways, but with a darker Sunburst than most. It also comes loaded with a pair of N3 Noiseless pickups, one each in the neck and middle, and paired up with a Shawbucker in the bridge. The N3s have a tonal response similar to a standard set, but with a slightly smoother, milder response & a lot less noise. The Shawbucker is hot & crisp with great bite that will undoubtedly serve perfectly for cutting leads & its access is as simple as it comes - one touch of the on/off push button located between the tone controls & it hops to an unhindered bridge pickup. It comes with all the other Deluxe upgrades like locking tuning machines & a contoured neck heel, but also includes an S-1 switch for even more tonal capabilities. Plus, it includes an original hardshell case & pro set up.
Cosmetic Condition: Great shape overall with a few nicks, dents, dings & surface scratches.
Neck: Modern C shape maple neck with cream side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. 21 medium jumbo frets in great shape with very little wear. Chrome Fender locking tuners work perfectly. 1 11/16" nut width. 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Contoured, solid mahogany body in dark sunburst finish. 3-ply mint pickguard & trem cover. Two-point fulcrum tremolo bridge with adjustable bent saddles & trem arm included. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 4.2 oz. Unoriginal strap buttons.
Electronics: Two Noiseless N3 single coils (neck & middle ) & one Shawbucker (bridge). Master volume with S-1 switching & dual tone controls. 5-way selector switch & push button. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
