Many of the R8's we've had in the shop over the years have had plain maple tops, but this gorgeous example shows off a stunning figured maple top under an ultra cool Washed Cherry finish. An excellent player's grade Les Paul, sporting aftermarket Kluson tuners & a pair of creamy sounding humbuckers with push/pull tone control knob for coil splitting & Hovland capacitor. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it's ready to rock straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches & some finish wear.
Neck: One-piece, chunky mahogany neck with cream binding & tortoise side-dots. Dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl trapezoid inlays. Professionally refretted with medium jumbo frets in great shape with practically no wear. Unoriginal Kluson tuners with Keystone buttons. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: One-piece, solid mahogany body with flame maple top & cream binding. The Washed Cherry finish looks absolutely fabulous! Stopbar tailpiece & ABR-1 bridge with nickel hardware. Single-ply cream pickguard & jackplate. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 8.8 oz. & is exceptionally resonant!
Electronics Unoriginal DiMarzio humbuckers with 3-way toggle switch. DP223BC (bridge) & DP103BC (neck). Dual volume & tone controls with gold "top hat" knobs. The neck pickup tone knob is push/pull for coil tapping on the neck pickup only. Unoriginal Hovlind cap. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original Gibson Custom Historic black hardshell case included. There is no COA.
