Hand made by the expert luthiers of the Gibson Custom Shop, this stunning 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue Limited Edition is one of 300 custom-aged by the Murphy Lab. The unique aging patterns & finishes were developed & executed by Tom Murphy & his team. This gorgeous guitar features a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard & is only one of 50 finished in this specific shade of sunburst. A very rare & highly collectible R9 that would make the perfect addition to any Gibson aficionado's collection. Fully inspected & professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it's ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Intentionally "aged" at the factory to give it that well-worn "vintage" look - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear.
Neck: One-piece solid mahogany neck with aged cream binding & tortoise side-dots. Dark Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl trapezoid inlays. Frets are clean with no wear. Kluson Deluxe tuners with aged Keystone buttons. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: One-piece, solid mahogany body & flame maple top finished in Tom's Cherry with aged cream binding. Stopbar tailpiece & ABR-1 bridge with nickel hardware. Single-ply cream pickguard & jack plate. Guitar weighs a delightful 7 lbs 15.2 oz. Under 8 lbs & exceptionally resonant!
Electronics: Gibson humbuckers with 3-way toggle switch. Dual volume & tone controls with gold "top hat" knobs. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with COA & Hang Tags.
