This stunning R9 was sold brand new in our shop to one of our long-time local customers who just recently traded it back to us. It was built to our exact specifications, featuring a AAA figured maple top that we personally hand-selected at Gibson Custom in Nashville. Finished in Cherry VOS, it captures the classic vintage aesthetic while offering a slightly aged patina for an authentic feel. The ultra-lightweight body ensures a resonant, well-balanced tone, while the V2 '59 neck profile offers a smooth, comfortable feel. Loaded with a pair of CustomBuckers that deliver muscular yet dynamic tones. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it plays & sounds terrific!
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition - very clean & still like new!
Neck: V2 mahogany neck with a more slender profile than the typical beefier R9 necks. Thickness at the first fret is about .80" & about .90" at the twelfth. Cream binding with tortoise side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl trapezoid inlays. Frets are clean with no wear. Kluson Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Solid, one-piece mahogany body with AAA grade flame maple top in Cherry finish & cream binding. Stopbar tailpiece & ABR-1 bridge with nickel hardware. Single-ply cream pickguard is included along with the mounting bracket, but the guitar has not been drilled for it. Guitar weighs a delightful 8 lbs 0.6 oz & is exceptionally resonant!
Electronics: Gibson CustomBuckers with 3-way toggle switch. Dual volume & tone controls with gold "top hat" knobs. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with COA & original hang tags/paperwork.
