A faithful recreation of the unmistakable & truly unique Trini Lopez model Gibson first produced over 60 years ago. This lovely semi-hollow body has been painstakingly vintage-spec'd to make it almost indistinguishable from a genuine '64 model. The luthiers in Gibson's Custom Shop meticulously scanned, measured & studied every aspect of the original Trini Lopez Standard to create a top-notch, period-correct reproduction. Sporting iconic diamond f-holes & Firebird-style headstock shape, this gorgeous example looks & feels just like a golden era Gibson. The semi-chunky neck feels comfortable anywhere on the fretboard & the pair of Custombucker Alnico III humbuckers deliver rich, robust tones. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it plays & sounds terrific!
Cosmetic Condition: This guitar was actually sold brand new in our shop to one of our longtime, local customers who just recently traded it back to us. It's still in great shape with various surface scratches along with some dents & dings.
Neck: Authentic '64 Medium C mahogany neck with cream binding & tortoise side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl split diamond inlays. Frets are clean with no wear. Kluson Single Line tuners with metal buttons. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Double-bound, semi-hollow, Maple/Poplar/Maple body with bound diamond F-holes. Trapeze tailpiece with wooden Trini Lopez badge. ABR-1 bridge with nylon saddles. 5-ply black pickguard & nickel hardware. The strap buttons are not original. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 0.1 oz.
Electronics: Gibson Custombucker Alnico III humbuckers with 3-way toggle switch. Dual volume & tone controls with black "top hat" reflector knobs. Hand-wired CTS 500K Audio Taper potentiometers & paper-in-oil capacitors. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with COA & hang tags.
