This Tom Doyle "Time Machine" Relic R8 is an authentic & faithful aged recreation of an oft played 1958 Les Paul "Burst". This one of a kind, hand aged masterpiece features Doyle Coils TRU-CLONES PAF humbuckers, real '59 Holy Grail harness & an exquisite vintage hand aged Lifton case. Every single part & piece has been painstakingly pored over, aged, relic'd & antiqued in order to recreate the look & feel of a decades old, gigged 1958 Les Paul Standard. Professionally set up & ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Intentionally "aged" by Tom Doyle & his team with a Certificate of Authenticity dated March 6, 2023. This particular R8 is Time Machine Number 65.
Neck: One-piece mahogany neck with cream binding & tortoise side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl trapezoid inlays. Frets are clean with no wear. Kluson Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: One-piece, solid mahogany body with flame maple top finished in aged Orange Lemmon & cream binding. Stopbar tailpiece & ABR-1 bridge with nickel hardware. Single-ply cream pickguard & jackplate. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 12.9 oz.
Electronics: Tom Doyle Coils TRU-CLONES PAF double-cream humbuckers. Bridge - 8.60K ohms; Neck - 6.80K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with gold "top hat" knobs. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with original Gibson COA, Tom Doyle COA & T-shirt.
