The Acoustic Custom Shop has recreated the King of the Flat-Tops. One of Gibson's most storied models, this Historic Reissue instrument is hand-built in Gibson's celebrated Bozeman facility using the finest materials and styled after its late 1930s counterparts. Each is constructed with a select thermally aged Adirondack red spruce top with hot hide glue bracing, rosewood back and sides, and premium ebony for the fingerboard and bridge. No detail is left untouched: the bound fingerboard, vintage style script Gibson inlay, and unique pickguard add custom touches all over this authentic recreation. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it's ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition overall with some mild surface scratches along with a few very tiny nicks & dings.
Neck: Rounded D profile maple neck in sunburst finish with lots of gorgeous flame figuring. Cream binding with tortoise side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl crown inlays. Frets are clean with no wear. Bound headstock with mother of pearl script logo & holly inlay. Gold Grover Imperial tuners turn smoothly. 1.72" nut width; 25.5" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Jumbo size body with multi-layer top & back binding. Thermally aged red spruce top finished in Vintage Sunburst. Tortoise pickguard with floral motif & multi-ring rosette. Ebony moustache bridge with mother of pearl inlays. Solid rosewood back & sides with herringbone center strip. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs 5 lbs 3.9 oz.
